What is Bootyfit?

Bootyfit offers outdoor exercise classes and a combined exercise and weight loss programme that you can do from home. It’s for women and although you can take your children along to exercise classes, having kids isn’t compulsory!

Aislinn Quigley, who runs Bootyfit, got in touch with me to tell me about what they offer. Unfortunately my hours at work mean I wasn’t able to get to BootyFit outdoor exercise classes but I was a perfect candidate to test out the Results Guaranteed Package!

I like food. Actually I LOVE food – shopping for it, cooking it and eating it. Food is my reward for a tough day (and perhaps a glass of something too…)

Since having children this emotional link with food had deepened and I’d picked up some terrible habits.

Now my children are a little older, over the past year I’ve been making a real effort to improve my fitness. Although fitter, my weight has stayed the same.

I admit I was sceptical but I was so fed up of the extra stone or two I’ve been carrying around and my clothes not fitting the way I wanted to that I figured I had nothing to lose.

The 21 day programme

Aislinn provides you will meal options on a weekly basis – early enough to give you time to shop and prepare. There’s plenty of choice and she will give you options if you have any special dietary requirements.

On the programme you alternate between low and high days. Meals are quick to prepare, nutritious and filling, although I admit my stomach sometimes rumbled on a low day. However, I roped my husband in too and together we kept each other going and away from temptations!

Where we had meals out planned, we made the best choices we could, guided by Aislinn, and never let a cheat meal become a cheat day…

The food plan is combined with daily exercise. If you already work out or attend Bootyfit sessions you can fit these in with the programme. If not, Aislinn provides videos of HIIT workouts that last just 10 – 15 minutes to help increase your metabolism.

The 21 day programme is intense but there is daily communication from Aislinn to support you. In addition to this, you have a support of a community of like minded women through a private Facebook group helping keep you on track.

Aislinn’s programme is all about making you accountable for you progress.

On day one I was asked to shared photos of myself in underwear or swimwear to the group and supply my measurements and weight. Hard to face when you’re unhappy with the way you look but it made me all the more determined to persevere.

Did it work?

So after three weeks of hard work, did I get the results I wanted…?

In a word, yes.

I lost weight – 11lbs.

I lost inches – 5 inches overall.

The biggest win though was how it made me feel.

By saying goodbye to sugar, carb heavy meals and my daily can of Diet Coke, I have more energy, clearer skin, I feel fitter and generally happier too.

In fact, after completing the programme in November, I’ve gone back for more this January with Bootyfit At Home – a programme for those who have done the 21 day plan and want to carry on.

I’ve just finished a 7 day Low/High meal plan combined with exercise and have kicked the Christmas bloat already!

Aislinn and her team also offer a series of outdoor exercise classes across Hertfordshire.

If you struggle to fit exercise into your day these weekday morning sessions are perfect. Weekend sessions and a group to help you fall in love with running are also available.

Like with the 21 day programme, you’ll also have access to a secret members group where you’ll have access to the trainers, fitness tips, and other members if you’d like to find an exercise buddy to meet up with in between sessions.
