Review: Santa’s Grotto at Wyevale Garden Centre, Hitchin

New for this year, Wyevale Garden Centres in Hitchin, Stevenage and Royston all have a Santa’s Grotto ready to bring a little bit of Christmas to your family this year!

We visited Santa’s Grotto at Wyevale Hitchin, already a regular haunt for us – especially for a post swimming lesson breakfast on the weekend.

On a warm autumn day we weren’t feeling particularly festive, however, as we arrived at Santa’s Grotto it definitely felt like a change in season.

We were greeted by Santa and one of his elves (along with jelly babies – yum!) and went straight in to talk to the big man himself.

Santa was on great form and chatted to my two little monkeys about what they hoped for this Christmas (dolls ranking highly this year!)

After sharing their Christmas hopes, both girls chose a gift from a great selection on offer and had a photo taken with Father Christmas.

There are far more elaborate (and expensive) Father Christmas meeting opportunities, but this met our needs really well – easy booking, no long queues and a great excuse to linger around the Christmas Shop too!
