What’s on around Hitchin – 9th & 10th September 2017

Well, I don’t know about you but one week back in the normal routine and I’m shattered…!

If you can drag yourself off the sofa this weekend, here’s my pick of what’s on this weekend around Hitchin.

Saturday 9th September

It’s the 2nd Saturday of the month so time for the Lifestyle and Craft Market in Hitchin! In addition to the usual Saturday market there will be some new and exciting traders selling everything unique and quirky for your home. Some items will be handmade and some will have been imported including art work, jewellery, cakes and knitting and lots more.

10.00am – 2.00pm
Explore the 250 acres of monumental landscape gardens and visit the intriguing Gothic Temple at Stowe near Buckingham (normally an exclusive holiday cottage for The Landmark Trust.) Once the clay has dried these bombs can be thrown into areas of your garden to create wildflower patches! No booking required and FREE! Suitable for children aged 3+. Must be accompanied by an adult.

 Heritage Mill Open Day

There will also be flour grinding to see how it was done years ago and make your own stook too (I’m not entirely sure what this is…!). No booking required and FREE!
