What’s happening this weekend – 25th & 26th March 2017

 All Weekend

The Stockwood Discovery Centre in Luton still has the British Wildlife Photography Awards Exhibition until 26th March. Entry is free (donations welcome) plus permanent exhibitions, gardens, a tasty cafe and good adventure playground too! This is the LAST weekend so make a visit down there if you can.

At the cinema this weekend’s kids picks are as follows:

Kids Club is on this weekend at the Broadway Cinema, Letchworth, however, at the time of writing their til systems were down so only pre booked tickets can be used. Best to get in touch if you were thinking of heading down there… You can call them on 01462 681088.

Movies for Juniors at Stevenage Cineworld is on again this weekend with seats priced at £2.50 with a free Cineworld account. Times are:

  • 10.00am: Moana
  • 10.10am: Trolls
  • 10.20am: Kung Fu Panda 3

If you have any Beauty and the Beast fans, Belle will also be appearing at Stevenage Cineworld on Saturday from 12.00pm – 4.00pm. More info here.

Saturday 25th March

This Saturday is the Spring Fair at St Mary’s Church in Hitchin. It is on from 10.00am to 2.00pm and includes Tower Tours and the opportunity to make cards and buy gifts and cakes for Mothering Sunday. There’s a pamper corner and kids area as well as refreshments too.

It’s the last Saturday of the month so time for they Hitchin Craft and Farmers Market on Hitchin Riverside. There are over 30 stalls every month selling high quality locally produced products and is open from 8:30am – 3:30pm.

Also at Hitchin Market it’s the Mother’s Day Daffodil Giveaway! There’s a FREE bunch of daffodil’s to every mums and female customers who shop on the market (while stocks last).

At Jordan’s Mill near Biggleswade there’s a Children’s Mother’s Day Floral Workshop. Let the kids get hands on to create a bespoke arrangement for Mum. Book sessions online now for just £10 per child.

Sunday 26th March

They’re celebrating Mother’s Day at Hatfield Park Farm today! Take Mum out for the day and explore the Farm. All ‘Mum’s’ will get free entrance and receive a free bag of animal feed on Mothers Day.

Also in Hatfield it’s the Stable Yard Dogs & Daffs Charity Dog Walk and Fun Dog ShowGain private access to Hatfield Park, watch dog agility and enter a fun dog show. Gates open at 9am. £5 entry donation. All proceeds go to Digswell Place Riding for the Disabled Association.

Mums also go free at Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne with one full paying child today. A lovely day out for the whole family with lots of animals to visit, a petting zoo, adventure playground, woodland train ride and soft play too!
